Watch Cane Online will be your main source for finding the best, most exciting, and most current videos from the new TV series Cane. Cane is a drama which began airing in North America on CBS on September 25, 2007.
The show profiles the events and people involved in a sugar cane and rum company, Duque Enterprises, in Florida. The Cuban-American family which runs the business, and the surrounding characters, face ongoing business and personal power struggles in order to stay on top in their business and in their lives.
The large cast of 11 profiled roles is headlined by Jimmy Smits, formerly of L.A. Law, NYPD Blue, West Wing and various other TV dramas. Smits plays the character Alex Vega on the show who is an adopted son of the powerful and wealthy Duques family which owns the rum and sugar cane business. He is the assumed heir to the family company.
Vega is married to Isabel who is the daughter of Alex’s adoptive father. They have 3 children. Pancho Duque (played by actor Hector Elizondo), the patriarch of the family, and his wife Amalia played by Rita Moreno, also have 3 biological children - Isabel (played by Paolo Turbay), Henry (played by Eddie Matos), and the oldest son Frank (played by Nestor Carbonell).
A rival family business run by the Samuel family is intent on overtaking portions of the Duque’s land holdings. Pancho’s firstborn son, Frank, who is portrayed as somewhat foolish and reckless, would approve of such a scenario. Alex, the adopted son of the Duque family, would opposes such a deal.
